This position combines direct psychological service delivery (3-4 days per week) with a leadership role (1-2 days per week equivalent) overseeing and developing a dynamic team of mental health professionals in Ontario. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the provincial operations manager to uphold standards, facilitate new staff onboarding, ensure quality control and outcomes, and provide clinical mentorship and professional development within the mental health team. Additionally, the role involves partnership with other regional clinical leads and the national mental health leadership team on wide-reaching mental health initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of psychologists, psychotherapists, and social workers, guiding mental health services.
- Mentor and onboard new clinicians, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Support clinical supervision, quality assurance, and address operational efficiencies alongside the mental health regional operations manager.
- Collaborate on national mental health projects, enhancing service accessibility and clinical outcomes.
Clinical Duties:
- Perform interdisciplinary rehabilitation and mental health diagnostic assessments to outline treatment plans.
- Administer psychological treatments, including individual and group psychotherapy, as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. or master’s degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current, good standing registration with the provincial College/Board of Psychologists.
- Declared competency in clinical psychology for adults; competencies in health/rehabilitation psychology or neuropsychology are advantageous.
- Open to Supervised Practice psychologists.
Experience:
- Proven track record in clinical leadership and team management.
- Expertise in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments.
- Proficient in delivering evidence-based treatments, with a focus on cognitive-behavioral techniques.
- Familiarity with measurement-based care and interdisciplinary teamwork.
- Experience in providing telehealth and virtual care services.
