Role Summary

The chosen candidate will spearhead the development of the CRC application for October 2024, aiming for an appointment effective July 1, 2025. This tenure-track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level is contingent upon the successful CRC application and is renewable after 5 years.

Responsibilities

  • Lead innovative research in addictions and mental health.
  • Foster knowledge that translates into practical, evidence-based solutions.
  • Establish strong community and academic partnerships locally, nationally, and internationally.
  • Engage in teaching, mentorship, and service duties, promoting an inclusive, equitable, and collegial work environment.

Qualifications

  • PhD or terminal degree in psychology or a related discipline.
  • Less than 10 years of active research experience post-degree.
  • Demonstrated potential for international recognition and excellence in research.
  • Ability to attract and mentor high-caliber students and future researchers.

Preferred Experience

  • Expertise in addictions and mental health research.
  • A track record of impactful research and collaboration.
  • Ability to attract significant external funding, including Tri-Council funding.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in research and teaching.
