An esteemed addiction treatment center in Mississauga, Ontario, is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) dedicated to making a difference in the lives of individuals dealing with mental health and addictions. Position Details
- Salary: $32–$36 per hour
- Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
- Shifts: 12-hour shifts, including day and night rotations
Role Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive assessments, including detox evaluations, to inform treatment planning.
- Administering medications, monitoring effects, and providing necessary education.
- Collecting specimens for routine and random screenings.
- Performing pre-admission screenings to ensure a positive treatment fit and manage potential liabilities.
- Facilitating intake medical assessments, including vital signs and medication reviews.
- Collaborating closely with the medical team to address client needs and coordinate care.
- Providing compassionate care within a professional in-patient rehabilitation setting, focusing on substance abuse.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or Registered Practical Nursing (RPN) Diploma.
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario and practice insurance.
- CPR Certification preferred.
- Interest and experience in mental health and addictions treatment.
- Knowledge of addiction and concurrent disorders.
